Well, I finished off week one of training with a four mile run on Saturday. I was actually worried that I wouldn't be able to fit this one in. We offered to drive a friend home early Saturday and ended up getting caught in a really bad rain storm. But by the time I got home the sky cleared up. I was able to run outside for my four miles and the rain didn't return until much later in the evening. I was really proud of myself for doing it. A lot of times if I don't workout first thing in the morning on the weekends I just don't do it. But I kept saying to myself that I had to.
Saturday's run was actually really tough at the beginning because my chest muscles were so sore from my weight workout on Friday! With every movement I could feel the tightness. I did some chest stretches while running and before I knew it I felt okay. I wasn't even thinking about it.
Almost the same thing happened on Sunday. I let myself wake up naturally instead of setting the alarm. So I ended up waking up at about 7:30am. Not enough time to run and get ready to meet my parents for breakfast. However, even though breakfast went longer than expected I still managed to get in all my errands, weed the garden and fit in my run!
My runs have been going so great lately. I didn't time myself on Saturday or Sunday. I just went for it. I am hoping that my speed will begin to increase very soon. I feel my legs getting stronger though.I did not workout this morning for a couple of reasons. As usual, I didn't sleep well last night. I was up at 6am only to realize that I had washed all my workout clothes and hung them to dry but they were all still damp. So I figured that I would get a bit more sleep and workout as soon as I get home from work.

Hi, I just discovered your blog. I'm doing Chalean Extreme as well. I'm currently, almost done with the program. I'm also starting to get ready to run in a half-marathon. I hope you don't mind me following your blog.
