Sometimes You Need a Rest Day

I had an extremely busy weekend. I was able to get in my run on Saturday morning but by Sunday I was so sore I decided to take a day off and let my body rest.

I haven't taken a rest day in 21 days. I was simply doing 'active' rests. But my body really needed it. That was what I decided in the beginning. I would rest when my body needed it.
Today I was back at it with my Lean Circuit 1. It was really good. I love doing bicep curls. Not sure why, but they are one of my favorite moves. I think it makes me feel tough. I still can't get the plank and tricep extention on my toes very well. I get a few reps and then have to go to my knees to finish the rest.
I am hoping to fit in the 3 mile run I missed yesterday after work today. I might not have time and might do it on Wednesday before my Lean Circuit 2. I am going to make a decision when I get home.

I also really want to lose some weight before my holidays in August. It's about 4 weeks away. So today I am beginning to be very strict with my eating. Clean eating that is in the hopes of making the scale move. Because I do have a thyroid problem, and I am not going to set a goal amount of weight to lose by my vacation, but to just lose 'some' weight.

I am looking forward to a new week of clean eating and working out!!!
