Silly Calf Muscle

Well, after I hurt my right calf muscles last Friday I gave them a rest from running. I believed it was just an overworked calf and nothing more.

I have been able to complete Tae Bo all week so last night I decided to try running again. What a disaster. My calf tightened right up again after only a mile and I was forced to turn around and head home. So I only got in about a twenty minutes/2 mile run. My calf just hurt way too much and I was worried that if I kept going I would do some serious damage.

I ended up doing the stationary bike in hopes that it would loosen up my calf.

This morning I was able to do the Tae Bo Amped Live workout. My calf didn't hurt at all!!! So very weird. Why can I twist and turn and kick and punch with Tae Bo but as soon as I start running it tightens up???

I am going to give running a rest for another 2 days. Going to do Tae Bo and the CE Intervals Friday and Saturday and then on Sunday I will try running again. Hopefully I can run again soon. I've got my 10km race in October and I want to be properly training for it.
