Anyone Can Workout When They're Fresh

Last night I was supposed to fit in a 2 mile run. However, half way through the day I got the most severe cramps. So I decided to skip my run. I went for a walk with my neighbor instead which seemed to help my cramps but I don't think I would have made it running.

I am dead tired today. I think I maybe got 2 hours of sleep...and that's being generous. I was up all night. Finally I got up before 6am and did a workout and then got ready for work.

I decided to do the Fat Burn Challenge from ChaLEAN Extreme. It's 32 minutes of cardio intervals. At first when the warm up was on I am like..."why am I doing this? This is going to be a waste of time; you're not going to be able to put forth a good enough effort. Why am I not in bed?"

But as soon as the first cardio interval came I got right into it and really pumped it up. It was such a great workout. I was able to get all my frustrations out...yes the reason I was up all night was because I was extremely frustrated.
It reminds me of something Billy Blanks always says in his Tae Bo dvds; "anyone can workout when they're fresh. But it's takes real commitment and dedication to dig deep inside and put forth an honest effort when you're not."
That is so true. Today I dug deep inside and I pushed myself through my workout. Even when I thought I would be too tired to do it, I didn't think about it...I just did it. And before I knew it I was pushing myself as hard as I always do, and dripping with sweat. I am glad that I was able to accomplish that.
